Family Room Live! Grandparents, Bring the High Holidays to Life for Grandchildren

In this hands-on participatory workshop, Jonathan Shmidt Chapman presents a range of activities that use creativity, theater, and play to activate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with children ages 3–8.
Children and grandparents will enjoy Jonathan’s brand new and easy-to-follow JGN High Holidays Discovery Kit, available to download for free this year. We will send participants the link to download the kit by September 9.
Activities in the workshop include ideas for rituals for the Jewish New Year, storytelling, and tikkun olam (repairing the world). We will also include ways to use these resources on Facetime or Zoom for grandparents at a distance.
